Browned Butter, Italian Sausage & Sage Stuffing

We’re back with another irresistible holiday side dish – Thanksgiving Stuffing with browned butter, Italian sausage, fresh sage… and it can be made in just one skillet!

Browned Butter, Italian Sausage & Sage Stuffing

Ingredients

  • 1 box Kinder’s Homestyle Stuffing Mix
  • 1 lb. Italian Sausage
  • 2 tbsp. Olive Oil
  • 1 Yellow Onion chopped
  • 3 Celery Stalks chopped
  • ¼ cup Fresh Sage Leaves chopped
  • 2 tbsp. Maple Syrup Optional
  • 2 large Eggs beaten
  • ¾ cup Milk
  • ¾ cup Broth

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • In a large oven-safe skillet over medium high heat, add the olive oil.
  • After 1-2 minutes, add the sausage. Break up the meat with a wooden spatula. Cook until browned and crispy edges.
  • Add the chopped onions, celery, and sage to sauté for 5-8 minutes, until tender and onions are translucent. Remove from heat.
  • Pour the milk, broth, maple syrup, and beaten eggs into the skillet. Mix until very well combined.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden and crispy on top. Enjoy warm!
