My Journey of Baking/Cooking with Olive Oil
I remember years ago having this craving for a heavenly slice of cake, so you know what I did? I walked into my kitchen, pulled out my phone, and found a recipe to begin baking. But, right as I was mixing together the wet ingredients, I realized we had no butter in the fridge and only olive oil in the pantry.
With all determination to sit down with a slice of chocolate cake and a glass of cold milk, I was not giving up. So, I used 3/4th oil for the called-for amount of butter. And guess what? To my surprise, it turned out even better than I could’ve dreamed!
I adored how the rich chocolatey flavor was still pronounce, but it was on the lighter side of the richness scale – leaving me more satisfied and less guilty. LOL
And that’s where my baking and cooking with olive oil journey began. Since then, I have begun perfecting all the classic sweets, scrumptious multicultural treats, and savory meals with the alternative of extra virgin olive oil instead of butter.
However, I still have lots to learn and am always up for a challenge! But rest assured, because you will only find the good recipes that have proved their worthiness on multiple occasions on A Bright Moment blog.
