Let’s Be Honest…
Where is God when I need Him the most? Does He really care? Is He really there?
Life is a continuous log that needs to be jumped over. Even if we are at a point in our life when everything seems to be going right, that log is just a few more steps away from you. It will always be there.
But that shouldn’t discourage you. Actually, it should be something to be embraced, something to look forward to. Right now, I know you’re probably thinking, “why on earth would I want to be excited for my upcoming trials?” …because we can have confidence, that with a merry heart instead of an afflicted heart as our attitude in life, we will experience the most comforting joy. You can take each moment with strength, knowing that your faith in God will grow stronger through each trial, that your faith can shine brighter than before through this rough patch, and that God is using you for a purpose through each moment.
Maybe God needs you to be at that moment, whether it’s a low point in your life or the highest point in your life, because there is someone else who desperately needs Him as their Savior. Proverbs 15:4 describes “a gentle tongue [being] a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit.” As Christians, we are to use our humility and love, which we receive through Jesus Christ, as a way to bring him into the lives of those close to us or around us, but far from Him. It’s the most amazing thing to see our words be used to heal the wounded consciences of others by comforting them, or to sin-sick souls by displaying to them a love like no other.
So, whether you are in a low point in your life, your friend is in a low point in their life, or you’re just reading this because you understand that Satan will attack you in your near future, know that God delights in our prayers. If you need help, in anything, just pour out all your worries or fears to Him. Or, pour out all your praises to Him, thanking Him for everything He has blessed you with. Because God wants to hear from us, He wants us to come before Him with every aspect of our lives.
“Better is a little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble with it” (Proverbs 15:16). Sometimes our troubles or times of trials may come because we fear living with little, when we actually can live out a better life with a little that’s accompanied by reverence & honor to God.
Please let me know if I can pray for you.
