First things first… let’s breakdown the myths of fruit water to discover its benefits.

Is fruit water good for you?

Obviously, staying hydrated is essential to a healthy immune system and an overall healthy lifestyle. Studies recommend every adult to follow the 8×8 rule, which is to drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water every day. However, when you add other fresh ingredients to your water, it magically transforms into “detox water.”

Depending on the other ingredients added, the end result of detox water is to help your body get rid of toxins, help with weightloss, and improve your overall energy levels.

What is detox water?

Detox water is regular water infused with thin slices of fresh fruit, vegetables, and/or herbs.

How do I make detox water?

If you only have a few minutes to spare, then this should become your go-to morning detox drink. The combinations are numerous and can vary depending on your personal preferences.

For a little inspiration, consider the few combinations listed below.

How long can fruit water be stored?

Once the water has been infused, it can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. If you are having a picnic, hosting a Spring bbq or brunch party, where the fruit water will be sitting out at room temperature, then it should be used the same day it was infused.

Strawberry, Lemon, and Cucumber Fruit Water

Servings: 4


  • 2 Strawberries, sliced
  • 1 Lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 Cucumber, thinly sliced


  • Add the sliced fruits to 5-6 cups of water. Place in the fridge to sit for at least 10 minutes.
