Hot Honey, Fig, & Goat Cheese Phyllo Bites

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup Nature Nate’s Hot Honey plus more for serving
  • 6-8 sheets Thawed Phyllo Dough
  • 6 oz Goat Cheese room temperature
  • ½ cup Fig Preserves
  • Optional 5 large Figs, sliced
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
  • 1/3 cup Olive Oil
  • 2 tbsp. Fresh Thyme Leaves plus more for serving

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375F. Generously grease 1-2 muffin tins with olive oil.
  • On a clean surface, layer the phyllo sheets on top of one another.
  • Working on the shorter end of the phyllo sheets rectangle, evenly spread the goat cheese over 2” at the edge.
  • Layer the fig preserves, chopped pecans, sliced figs, hot honey, and fresh thyme. Roll up tightly light a burrito.
  • Slice into 1” – 1.5” pieces. Place into individual muffin tin cups.
  • Drizzle each very generously with olive oil, about 2 teaspoons each. This is what will make them extra flaky and crunchy!
  • Bake them for 20-25 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through baking, until deeply golden on top.
  • Let rest 10 minutes before scooping out with a spoon.
  • Drizzle with extra hot honey and garnish with fresh thyme leaves to serve!
