Ingredients
Servings: 6
- 2-3 lbs. Chicken Wings
- 1 ½ cups + 2 tbsp. Flour
- 1 tsp. EACH: Paprika, Salt, & Black Pepper
- 1/3 cup Olive Oil
- 3 Garlic Cloves, minced
- 1” Fresh Ginger, peeled and grated (or minced)
- 1/3 cup Soy Sauce
- 1/3 cup Honey
- 1 tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 2 tbsp. Apple Cider Vinegar
- 1-2 Dried or Fresh Red Chili Peppers, chopped
- 1-2 Jalapeno Peppers, seeds removed and minced
- Spring Onions, chopped, for garnishing
- Ranch, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your Masterbuilt Gravity Series Grill to 450F.
- In a large pan or bowl, pat the chicken wings dry with a paper towel. Add the flour and seasonings, then mix until very well combined.
- Using tongs, place the chicken wings on the grill. Brush each chicken wing with olive oil. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Flip the chicken wings over, brush with more olive oil to bake another 2-3 minutes. Continue the process of flipping the chicken wings and brushing with olive oil as needed until deeply golden and crispy, about 8-12 minutes.
- Transfer the wings to a bowl.
- To make the sticky sauce, place a large saucepan over medium high heat. Add the olive oil.
- Add the minced garlic, ginger, and chili peppers to sauté 1 minute.
- Add the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, and apple cider vinegar.
- In a small bowl, whisk the remaining 2 tablespoon water with 1/3 cup water until smooth. Add the slurry to the sauce, stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a boil, then simmer until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour the sauce over the chicken wings and toss until well-coated.
- Garnish with freshly chopped spring onions.
- To make the jalapeno ranch, finely chop the jalapenos and mix with your favorite ranch until desired spiciness. Enjoy with the warm chicken wings!
