How to Make Dinner Rolls in Advance?
You can prep these in advance two different ways. The first is replacing the instant yeast with active dried yeast. When you go to do the second rising, you’ll place them in the fridge up to overnight. The next day, simply take them out to rise 1-2 hours, until doubled in size and bake as normal. The other way is to fully bake the rolls, let the completely cool, and cover in a container at room temperature for up to 1 day in advance. However, rolls are best enjoyed same day!

- 1/3 cup Granulated Cane Sugar
- 1 tsp. Fine Sea Salt

- 5 tbsp. Unsalted Butter softened
- 1 large Egg beaten
- 2 tbsp. Melted Butter
- 1/4 cup Honey

- Cover the bowl and place inside your oven with the light ON (but oven turned OFF) to rise for 30 minutes.
- Divide the dough into 16 even pieces. Roll into tight balls on a clean surface.
- Place in a greased 9×13″ baking pan. Cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm environment to rise another 30 minutes to 1 hour, until doubled in size.
- Preheat oven to 375F.
- Brush with a beaten egg and the melted butter to bake 13-16 minutes, just until golden on top. Be careful not to overtake or they will dry out.
- After you take them out of the oven, let cool for 10 minutes then drizzle honey over the dinner rolls. Garnish with flaky salt to enjoy!

The ingredients call for 1 egg but the instructions have an additional egg going in at the end to coat the rolls prior to baking. Should I add that extra egg at the end? Amazing work otherwise!
