I don’t eat beef, can I sub veggie broth instead?
Hi Bianca! Veggie broth could work in replacement of the beef broth, it may just not be as rich in flavor!
Could I make this in the crockpot?
Hi! I don’t see why that wouldn’t work! I would just encourage making the caramelized onions on the stovetop first
What type of wine is your favorite in this recipe?
Hi Tammy! I don’t drink so I’m not a huge wine connoisseur Lol, but any sauvignon blanc should work great!
What can we sub for wine?
Hi Zoey! You can omit it or replace with beef broth!
This is so insanely tasty!! My husband and I don’t drink, and I’m really not a fan of the wine taste even after the alcohol has been cooked off, so I think next time I’ll omit it or find some other alternative. The flavors were incredible, and we still have leftover dip but no bread, so I think I will top some chicken with this dip and make a leftover dinner out of it. 10/10 recommend!!!
Could I substitute the white wine for red wine?
Yes, that should be just fine!
Just FYI, I don’t see where it has to add the greek yogurt. I found it on your insta though!
Thank you, Samantha! I have that fixed!
The recipe ingredients include greek yogurt, but the instructions do not. I assume we add the yogurt in with the rest of the ingredients in step 4? Thank you!
Yes, I have fixed that! Sorry for any confusion!
Love this recipe, could I ask where you got the pink and white dish it’s in? I love it!
Thank you, Hannah!! And its from Anthropologie Home!
Lauren, this Creamy French Onion Dip was delicious and everyone loved it! Thank you for sharing! I wanted to ask you how do you reheat it?
Hi Pam! I’m so happy you all loved it! I would store in an airtight container in the fridge then you could reheat in a smaller casserole dish covered for 10-ish minutes at 400F then 5-8 minutes uncovered!
INCREDIBLE!! The whole family loved it!
I tried this recipe and it was pretty good, however it doesn’t mention when to add the Greek yogurt so I ended up forgetting it.
This was delicious, I made it on New Years Day, and with the leftovers I put it on top of some chicken breasts and baked and it was a great way to use up the leftover! I wish I could post the picture. I was even inspired to buy the splatter baking dish and cooked it in that!
