Hello, I’m trying to make this now but I’m confused if after I boil down do I blend and strain before adding to my water? What about cooling?
hi brittany! you can blend prior to straining to make it easier or just use the back of the spoon to press through a fine mesh sieve. The fruit should be tender enough so it easily releases any juices! After making the concentrate, you would probably want it to cool to room temperature prior to adding to water but if you add ice either way you should be fine! yay!!
If I just wanted to make this purely strawberry would I just sub the peaches for more strawberry or could I do another fruit like raspberries?
hi Laura! yes, that is correct on both ends!
I want to make this and put it in the gallon dispensers for a party of 30. How can I adjust this recipe and how should I dilute it in the container, so everyone can enjoy it without it being too strong
hi Jessica! this recipe makes about 8 strong cups of lemonade (4 cups concentrate + 4 cups water). so I would just multiply as needed!!
Hi Lauren!
I’m doing the same thing as above but a bit confused, is the 1 quart made the concentrate? And if so, wouldn’t it be 16 cups of lemonade total?
I may be understanding things wrong but I thought it was 1/4 of a cup of concentrate was needed to make 1 cup of the lemonade and then there are 4 cups of in the quart of concentrate, so each cup of concentrate within that quart would give you 4 cups of lemonade. Is this right?
I can’t wait to make this! It sounds delicious!
hi Valerie! so this recipe is purely making 1 quart of concentrate which serves 16 people. 1/4 cup of the concentrate + 3/4 cup (up to 1 cup) of water is equal to one serving of lemonade. Hopefully that helps some! Lmk if not, and I’ll figure it out with you!!
Yes, that helps! Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!
God bless!
My family and our guests loved this lemonade! Simple to make and so delicious. It’s the perfect summer drink.
I made this today and just used peaches for the fruit and it is wonderful!
I added a few raspberries to the listed recipe; my family enjoyed this a lot!
I made this today as a practice run for Fourth of July. It didn’t come out sweet at all, i’m wondering what I did wrong? It tasted just like lemon juice with no sweetness at all. I cooked the fruit for 20 minutes like the recipe said, it softened but didn’t really reduce liquid wise. I squeezed and strained all the juice out of the fruit. It made just over 32 oz of concentrate. What should I do differently next time? I was so excited for this
hi sam! did you add the sugar? There’s 1 1/2 cups total so it should be very sweet lol
I’m 99% sure I added all of the sugar, but i’m going to give this another try to be sure! Thanks for the quick reply! I had a few other people try it and they enjoyed the tart lemon flavor so it wasn’t a total loss! Thanks again, I love your website and videos 🙂
I followed the original recipe and it was so good that I’ve started switching up fruits based on what I have on hand that’s about to go bad. I love that you can substitute different fruits once you get the base recipe down!
ahhh this is so awesome!!
